Woodturning - Clock

Hello guys!

This video is about my making process of a wall clock form made up with epoxy and beech woods.
As a woodturner I have been trying to find a special pattern to decorate my works such a long time.

Last year, I was quite interested in the shape of the end grains when I was cutting the end parts of an inside out turning (split turning) piece. I thought it will be cool if I could apply that form to my turning piece as a decorative pattern. This video is one of results from my long-term research, and I think it has various potential for designing some wooden pieces.

FYI, in this video, I did not execute the split turning method but used a round over router bit for its accuracy. Even though, if you have an interest in the shape of the end grain from the 4 blanks inside out turning, you can check my previous video; Shape of my Heart.
