What Do I Say to the Judge in Court?
This is a short description of how to speak to the Judge when you're in Court. It should help you remain calm when you know what to expect and how to address the Judge while standing before him or her. Make sure you always look the Judge in the eyes. Don't hand your head or look off in some other direction. Always speak in a respectful manner, without cursing or swearing and do not raise a hand or fingers to point at the Judge. You are generally better off speaking with your attorney and asking them to speak for you since anything you say while under oath can be used against you later at a trial.
