Of the Father's Love - RODGERS 599 Hybrid Organ

This setting of the plainsong “Of the Father’s love begotten” was composed by Dr. Charles Callahan. In the score he has specific instructions for the musician to use a “solo flute, a French Horn, an English Horn, etc.” to create additional interest in the musical lines of this beautiful chant. The former 8-rank pipe organ (which was damaged in a 2018 fire) did not have the resources to reproduce the directives of the composer.
However, the new Rodgers Artist 599 Hybrid Organ is well-equipped for this.
The Rodgers 599 (which was installed in the Summer of 2020) has 47 speaking stops, 12 ranks of pipes (which is 4 ranks more than the original organ), 100 Organ Library Stops, and 32 Orchestral Voices for an unparalleled amount of tonal variety.
It is no wonder that Rodgers is often referred to as “THE SOUND CHOICE.”
