*CAMPER VAN BEETHOVEN* January 15 2006, 8X10 Baltimore

The first time I heard the name Camper Van Beethoven was after hearing their novelty song "Take The Skinheads Bowling". I'm calling it a novelty song. I never liked that song, in fact, I so disliked it, I never bothered to see or hear or check out anything Camper Vanish or Van Beethoven anything........Well, not until my old Thursday night friend came over to my place with CVB's first 4 albums under his arm...asking me "What do you know about these guys?" I said...just the bowling skinhead song. He said "Boy, are you in for it!" and boy was he was right, I immediately loved pretty much every song, they ever did, on every album....I had some serious catching up to do. For the video, I had one camera duct taped to a railing up in the balcony for the long shot and I hand-held another for the close-up stuff. Neither audio source sounded any good on their own, so I was forced to mix the 2 different sound sources together into a live stereo mix....which I think worked pretty well, considering everything.
