*LP* August 6 2004, Fletchers, Baltimore

I first met LP when she played an intimate little, living room jam type show with David Lowery (Camper Van Beethoven, Cracker); with everyone sitting around in soft easy chairs. (She was immediately amazing, I already knew he is amazing). I took note. Later that year, she came back to Baltimore with a kicking, new backing band from NYC....I think that was at Cafe Tattoo, I think 7 people showed up. Over the next few years, I went to a bunch of their shows (probably about 10) and their audience was growing respectfully too.....and then pooof....gone. and then, she resurfaced many years later with some kind of Pop career, of a sort (I stumbled on her new album in the public library here under Pop....gave it a spin and am dismayed to say the least...it was totally devoid of ROCK music in any and all forms; unlike this good old, live footage here, which I think would have to be kind of alien and ear opening to the Lourde/Billy Eilish crowd she's switched over to. Seeing how I haven't talked to LP in about 15 years, if you're listening- ditch the ukulele, pick up your guitar and get David Lowery back....that should do it.
