Greg Alba, John Humphrey & Jon Maturan continue their Reaction & Review of Peacock’s TED prequel series with Episodes 3 & 4, diving deeper into the chaotic 1990s life of everyone’s favorite foul-mouthed teddy bear.
In Episode 3, “Ejectile Dysfunction,” Ted (voiced by Seth MacFarlane, Family Guy, American Dad!) and John Bennett (Max Burkholder, Parenthood, The Purge) find themselves in increasingly ridiculous trouble as high school hormones, peer pressure, and Ted’s complete lack of boundaries collide in spectacular fashion. The episode leans hard into cringe comedy and outrageous set pieces, balancing raunchy gags with surprisingly grounded coming-of-age moments for John.
Episode 4, “Subways, Bicycles and Automobiles,” shifts gears as Ted and John’s misadventures spiral into a chaotic journey that tests their loyalty and maturity. Meanwhile, John’s parents — Matty Bennett (Scott Grimes, The Orville, American Dad!) and Susan Bennett (Alanna Ubach, Euphoria, Legally Blonde) — struggle to manage the living stuffed animal disrupting their household, while cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham, The Punisher, 13 Reasons Why) continues carving out her own sharp-witted presence in the family dynamic.
Blending outrageous humor with surprisingly heartfelt beats, these episodes expand the show’s satirical look at suburban life, teen awkwardness, and Ted’s wildly inappropriate influence.
