Christians make up 31 percent of the world's entire population which translatesto 2.6 billion people, while1.8 billion people in the world are Muslims, 1.1 billion people follow Hinduism,and 1.2 billion people are not affiliated with any specific religion.The Christian population growth is the population growth of the global Christian community. According to the World Christian Encyclopedia, approximately 2.7 million people convert to Christianity annually from another religion. While, according to "The Oxford Handbook of Religious Conversion", approximately 15.5 million people convert to Christianity annually from another religion, while almost 11.7 million leave Christianity annually, and most of them become irreligious, resulting in a net gain of 3.8 million people.Christianity adds about 65.1 million people annually due to factors such as birth rate and religious conversion, while losing 27.4 million people annually due to factors such as death rate and religious apostasy. Most of the net growth in the numbers of Christians is in Africa, Latin America and Asia.Christianity arrived in Africa in the late 1st or early 2nd century AD, making these Christian communities some of the earliest in the world. It is believed that Mark the Evangelist brought Christianity from Jerusalem to Alexandria in the year 43 before becoming the first bishop to serve the Alexandria Orthodox Church. Once it was introduced to Africa, Christianity slowly spread from Alexandria to Ethiopia and is now the biggest religion in the African continent.

Today, there are more Christians living in Africa than any other continent in the world. According to data published by the Center for the Study of Global Christianity, there are more than 631 million Christians that currently reside in Africa, accounting for 45 percent of the continent’s population. 10. DR. Congo – Population of Muslim Population - 84%
