10. Uganda - Approximately 40,000 Chinese
The number of Chinese residents in Uganda has rapidly expanded in the past decade along with the rise of trade ties. As of 2010, the official numbers of Chinese in uganda stood at 7.000. The rapid expansions in trade relations began in 2005 when Chinese investments in Uganda only included a hotel and restaurant. By 2010, China's investments shot up so much that it ranked second to the United Kingdom. The biggest Chinese employer in Uganda is Zhang Hao, a native of Shenyang, who arrived in 1999 and started an import business that grew to an enterprise encompassing a restaurant, bakery, firm selling flat-screen televisions and Security Company. Other areas of trade include construction of buildings, fiber optics, and a road. However the increased trade and number of residents have caused a backlash. The influx of shopkeepers from China has caused consternation among Ugandans who compete in retail. In July 2011, Ugandan shopkeepers in Kampala ordered a work stoppage to protest against rising prices, an unstable exchange rate, and a flood of competition by Chinese and Indian traders. Today, there are more 50.000 Thousand Asian Living in Uganda amongst which more than 40.000 are Chinese.

9. Nigeria - Approximately 45,000 Chinese

The numbers increased drastically by the 1970s and the community of Chinese in Nigeria was founded in 1973 in an effort to coordinate the various Chinese community organizations that had already sprouted up around the country. And as is the case in every other country they establish in, the locals have been complaining of the activities, stealing jobs meant for the locals and exploiting labor. By 2012, official estimate of Chinese population in Nigeria stood at about 20.000. Today that number has doubled with an increase in china’s investments in Nigeria. One of the things the Nigerian business class is displeased with is Chinese copying local inventions to produce them cheap and flood the market with. This kills the local market and the government has been trying to step in to coordinate and regulate their activities even though with little success.

7. Kenya - Approximately 50,000 Chinese
There may have been minor settlement of Chinese people in Kenya as early as the 15th century; however, modern migration from the People's Republic of China to Kenya only dates to the late 1990s and early 2000s. Chinese people are respected by most Kenyan locals for the infrastructure that Chinese companies have built in Kenya, such as the Thika Road. However, some local Kenyan merchants complain that Chinese expatriates selling imported goods are taking jobs from them. They accuse Chinese traders of taking photographs of their goods to copy the designs, and claim they have unfair advantages such as cheap labor in China local government support. Chinese people have also opened apparel factories in Kenya's export processing zones, but there have been protests against poor working conditions there.
