Anti-static properties of gelcoats are desired by the industrial protection market to eliminate the risk of explosions due to static discharge, especially for polyester-based composite manufacturers.
In this video we will tell you what things in your formulation to pay attention to while preparing anti-static new generation gelcoats with TUBALL™ graphene nanotubes.
We suggest using TUBALL™ graphene nanotubes for achieving conductivity in gelcoats because they provide a more stable level of resistivity and allow to achieve a wider range of colors in the final composite in comparison with traditional additives such as carbon black and ammonium salts.

The solutions and answers you will find in this video:
• How to achieve a wider range of colors in the final gelcoat composite in comparison with traditional additives such as carbon black and ammonium salts
• How to obtain a balance between conductivity, viscosity and thixotropic properties while building a conductive gelcoat formulation
• How to reach lower resistivity levels and have an acceptable viscosity increase of an anti-static gelcoat
• How to avoid a drop in conductivity by selecting the optimal components for your anti-static gelcoat formulation
• Can an anti-static gelcoat modified with TUBALL MATRIX be applied by standard spraying?
• Can TUBALL MATRIX be added directly to the uncured polyester resin?
• At what concentrations of TUBALL does the polyester system gains anti-static properties?
• What dosage of TUBALL MATRIX is needed to increase conductivity?
• How to optimize thixotropic properties when preparing the gelcoat formulation from scratch
• Why is it better to choose an additive with a higher fraction size to prepare the gelcoat formulation?
• Why is it important to use the minimal suitable TUBALL MATRIX 204 dosage to provide the required level of conductivity and viscosity?
• Why is it important to find the optimal balance between the dosages of TUBALL™ MATRIX and thixotropic additives?
