What do we need anti-static floors for? They can be used in ESD Protected Areas in electronics manufacturing, storage facilities, or the oil and gas industry.
A high viscosity of the formulation can negatively influence one of the key technological parameters for antistatic flooring compounds - its self-leveling ability. Self-leveling means the natural spreading of the liquid epoxy resin by gravity.
In this video we showed and discussed a few approaches for lowering the viscosity of antistatic flooring compounds containing TUBALL™ MATRIX to get a smooth surface:
- adjustment of thixotropic and thickening agent concentration;
- use of leveling additives;
- use of viscosity reducing agents;
- dilution with solvents.
The solutions and answers you will find in this video:
• How to get optimal self-leveling properties in formulations
• What are the approaches to lowering the viscosity of antistatic flooring compounds containing TUBALL™ MATRIX to get a smooth surface?
• How to find the balance between high viscosity and thixotropy of the formulation and get a smooth flooring surface and conductivity
• How to optimize viscosity in antistatic flooring compounds
• How to adjust thixotropic and thickening agent concentration in antistatic flooring compounds with TUBALL MATRIX combination
• How to use leveling additives in antistatic flooring compounds with TUBALL MATRIX combination
• How to use viscosity reducing agents in antistatic flooring compounds
• When to use dilution with solvents in antistatic flooring compounds?
• Is it possible to meet conductive and self-leveling properties?
• Is it possible to achieve electrical resistivity in the range of 10^4–10^6 Ω and provide dissipation of static charges?
• At what concentration of TUBALL MATRIX can a resistivity range of 10^6–10^8 Ω be achieved for flooring compounds?
• What are the key elements of the TUBALL MATRIX introduction process to pay attention to?
