The 1998 Dodge Ram Lineup

The Dodge Ram, now called the Ram Pickup, is a full size pickup truck that used to be made by Dodge, but is now made by Chrysler. Many car aficionados have said that Dodge played the pickup game beautifully, especially in 1998. Dodge released the following five options for the Dodge Ram: Dodge Ram 1500 4x2 SLT, Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 SLT, Dodge Ram 2500 club cab 4x2 SLT, Dodge Ram 3500 cab 4x2 SLT, and the Dodge Ram Four Door Quad Cab.
The Dodge Four Door Quad Cab, as it was called, was an option on all 1500 and 2500 extended cab trucks and was standard on the big 3500 models. Improvements for the 1998 Dodge Ram included the following: a new keyless remote entry system, an upgraded base sound system, a new cassette and CD sound system option (who misses the 1990's cassette tapes and CDs), leather seat availability on SLT versions, and a new "Sport Plus" package with 17-inch wheels and tires, suspension upgrades and 5.9-liter V8 with sport exhausts. A number of under-the-skin upgrades have been made, including electrocoated frame paint, and new exterior and interior colors.
The Dodge Ram 3500 cab 4x2 was more commonly called "The Beast" by Motortrend.com. the interior was plush enough for most. Add an estimated 400 horsepower and you truly have a beast.
