What's New in Bitwig 2.0 (Part 1 of 3)
https://www.sormena.org/ for more of my free courses
Thank you so much to everyone for their generosity. I'll be leaving the gofundme page up for another couple of weeks if anyone wants to donate (https://www.gofundme.com/brian-bollman-bitwig-studio-youtube).
Feel free to share these videos anywhere you think people might be interested.
In this three part series we look specifically at what's new in Bitwig Studio version 2.0 (from version 1.3.15). The orignial intention was a 20 minute video but as you all know with me that's impossible. This series is roughly 90 minutes in length.
If English is your first language you can get away with playing this one at Double Speed (if you don't mind the chipmunk effect) as there are very few audio examples. We mostly cover the interface changes and some other minor/straight forward new features.
Time Markers
00:00 Introduction (Yellow Icon)
00:50 Dashboard and Improved Documentation (User Manual and Website)
3:19 Display Settings, GUI Scaling (Key Commands), and Improved Efficiency
05:25 Absolute Mouse Mode (IDK a lot about it), New Behavior Settings (Open on Start, Automatic Fades, and Default Bit Depth Bounce)
08:18 MIDI Sync (Don’t know much about it so please write comments if you do)
08:47 Official Demos
09:15 Efficiency Update Custom and Adaptive Menus, When to Pin vs Key Commands (Easier on Tablets)
15:33 Enable Legacy Devices (Follow Playback and Snap To Pop Up Window) Track vs Clip Tabs and Automation (does anyone see a real advantage here?)
19:42 Track Resizing, Inspector Panel Changes, Fade Support and Auto Fades, Clips vs Events (review)
23:20 Fades and Crossfades
23:11 Pen Tool Right Click Delete Notes
26:29 VST3 Support (Sometimes) and Plugin Sorting (Review)
