Off Grid Living in Portugal - Tour our Tent, Solar Setup and Camp Kitchen - Episode 019

The deck is done. The shed is complete. The solar PV system has been installed and we're generating all our own electricity. We've been living off grid on our small quinta in central Portugal for just over 2 weeks now. And we - and our two cats - have settled in nicely.

In this video we'll give you a tour of our Sibley Bell Tent (complete with king-sized bed and remote working area), our off-grid solar setup, the camp kitchen and a new (old) purchase...

My name's Guy. My wife Kylie and I bought an old farmhouse and 3/4 acre of land in central Portugal which has been abandoned for 20+ years.

We started renovating the property in late 2020 and (until recently) had been living in a rental flat 30km drive away (as the farm house is not currently habitable).

We built a deck and a shed to house our solar equipment and a temporary kitchen and we're now living in a large bell tent while we renovate and restore the main house.
