JUST IN! Elon Musk, Tesla Giga Berlin Got Sudden Support from German Ministry

We just learned that the German Ministry defended digital discussion on Tesla Giga Berlin and its battery plant after criticism.

The Brandenburg Ministry of the Environment defended the plan on Friday to have the objections submitted to the Tesla's Giga Berlin plant discussed digitally. With 814 people who have now submitted objections, the previously planned room capacities would not be sufficient for a debate on site.

The more than 500 new objections to the planned Tesla factory will be discussed as before - but this time only by email. After severe criticism, the ministry issued a position on Friday.

Citizens and environmental associations had criticized that a real discussion could not take place if the objections of the 814 people were only discussed in an email exchange. Older people in particular exclude this procedure, criticized Steffen Schocht from the Grünheide citizens' initiative.

The opposition party Die Linke described the decision on Friday as incomprehensible. "After all, the last public hearing in the town hall in Erkner took place under pandemic conditions," said a letter from the left to the state environment ministry.

One of the main issues in these discussions will be the water for Giga Berlin. Some people say there are plenty of water, others say there is not enough water. Which is it? Consider how many jobs is Tesla creating. How many additional tax payments Tesla is bringing to the region. It would be great if the government and Tesla would figure out the water supply of Giga Berlin and move on.

In the meantime, the construction of the battery factory of Giga Berlin had reached a new milestone. On August 27, the first cross-beam was installed to support the building that will produce the world's most innovative battery cells.
