Most younger Thai women are open to relationships with an older man. It is not taboo as it would be in the west. Age is a sign of maturity and stability. This means that they will not approach you first. You will need to make the first move. Secondly, they are very shy. Even if they like you, they may simply smile, laugh, giggle, or even run away! Third, most will not speak english.

Say you make the first move and you are very careful to not scare them away. You will still have an issue with communication and asking for a date. This alone is not a problem.
