Pamukkale THERMAL Pools & Springs: unusual travel destinations in Turkey

Ever since the ancient times Pamukkale terraces have been attracting visitors with their hot water springs and unusual thermal pools.

In Turkish the word Pamukkale means "cotton castle", which accurately describes the view of these travertine terraces. The area holds 17 hot water springs, which caused the creation of such unusual landscape.

But it should be told that due to the charge in weather, geothermal activity and big tourist interest the preservation of this destination is becoming an unbearable task.
