Your answer needs to be consistent with your long term goals. That means that if you’ve studied business development and are currently applying to a junior sales position, you could say that you would like to be an Account Executive later in life.

Your answer should also be ambitious, to show the recruiter that you have goals and aspirations and that perhaps you’ll have a long term future in the company.

But don’t forget, they must be realistic, too! The likelihood of you becoming CEO in 5 years if it’s your first graduate job is low.
