Exploring the Ancient Ruins of Palmyra, Syria: A British Traveler's Journey

In this video I visit the archaeological ruins of Palmyra, in Eastern Syria. Palmyra was occupied on two occasions by ISIS, which destroyed large parts of these beautiful structures. Here, I visit the Amphitheatre, souq, Hammam and temples and streets of the ancient city of Palmyra. Agatha Christie once stayed in a hotel with a view overlooking these ruins.

How to get there?
To visit Syria, you must have a guide with you at all times. To visit, Palmyra, your guide must obtain permission at least one week prior to your visit. A military escort is compulsory for anyone visiting Palmyra. This city is not open to the public. The city itself, is largely in ruins.
