Inflation ‘sticking around’ a lot more than expected
Business Reporter Edward Boyd says it feels like inflation is “sticking around a lot more than expected”.
Mr Boyd said it is going to keep interest rates “higher for longer”.
There are concerns interest rate cuts could be delayed.
A rapid rise in US jobs is leading to questions as to whether the Reserve Bank will start to lower the cash rate in September.
Recent data shows more than 300,000 US jobs were added last month.
