Make Fresh Coconut Milk for Poisson Cru- A Tahitian dish with Hawaiian Fish- Kimi Werner Recipe

Learn how to husk and crack open a coconut to get sweet coconut water. Then grate the coconut meat to make fresh squeezed coconut milk! Kimi Werner then takes us through the step by step process of making poisson cru- a tahitian fish salad, made with a Hawaiian fish she caught herself, a parrotfish known in Hawaii as uhu. Here's what you will need for the dish:

Fresh fish- anything you would eat raw
lime juice

carrots

cucumber
tomato
salt
fresh, canned or frozen coconut milk
