One of the biggest problems in shoulder mechanics is regarding scapulohumeral rhythm. When your scapula moves like a Velcro strip across the ribcage and the connective tissue support is asymmetrical, you can be assured that you’ve got a shoulder problem.

Outside of an injury to the Long thoracic nerve, a winged scapula is completely reversible, and you want to reverse it, trust me. You just can’t fix it with shoulder exercises, and here’s why:
1. The humerus is internally rotated.
2. The Serratus anterior is loaded against the opposing musculature.
3. You have an injury based motor pattern that’s constantly reinforced when you move.
Here’s the synopsis of WTF is going on. The pec complex is short and contracted (which means the pec minor is cranking the scapula down and anterior via the coracoid). The rhomboids are holding the vertebral border of the scapula like a fat kid on a snickers. The lat, subscap and teres major are having an orgy of internal rotation that Jenna Jameson would be jealous of and the Serratus itself has to step into the ring with all of this in order to hold the scapula stable. Yeah, not happening. This is the sequence of repair:
1. Unload bound tissue.
2. Force individual muscle movement.
3. Retrain neuromechanics.
This took time to create so this takes time to fix, however, here’s the unlock.
REPAIRWOD:
1️⃣ Rhomboid standing band pull
2️⃣ Levator Arm Raise Stretch
3️⃣ Pec Rig Stretch
4️⃣ Subscap PVC Stretch
5️⃣ Banded Arm Sweep
6️⃣ Push up Quadruped push away
7️⃣ Wall screw
8️⃣ Serratus Banded press down
9️⃣ Cross Body Overhead Lat Peel.
