Beyond the Concert Hall: Tony Siqi Yun

The Vancouver Recital Society's Founder & Artistic Director, Leila Getz, speaks to pianist Tony Siqi Yun. Tony was the First Prize winner and Gold Medalist at the First China International Music Competition in 2019. He was born in Toronto, Canada and currently studies at the Juilliard School with Professors Matti Raekallio and Yoheved Kaplinsky. Tony and Leila chat about his move to New York to study at the Juilliard School when he was just 14 years old, and discuss how it works to study with two different teachers there. They also chat about Tony's upcoming performance with the VRS, and delve into what his program for the concert means to him.
