Harvey Brooks first came to the public’s attention when he played on the classic Bob Dylan album, Highway 61 Revisited.
Since then he has played with major musicians from Miles Davis to Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, The Electric Flag, Al Kooper, Richie Havens, Mike Bloomfield, Peter, Paul and Mary, Eric Andersen, Judy Collins, Tom Rush, Karen Dalton, Mavis Staples, John Cale, Janis Joplin, Cass Elliot and many more.
He played at Monterey Pop and was a producer at Columbia Records. In his new book, View from the Bottom, Brooks reveals his formula and the hurtles for making it to the top of the music business.
