Jump from the World Trade Center's Freedom Tower
This an amazing video clip. It shows a parachute jump from the World Trade Center's Freedom Tower carried out last September by Andrew Rossig, 33, James Brady, 32, and Marco Markovich, 27.
A fourth man, Kyle Hartwell, 29, served as their spotter on the ground.
"We just kind of walked in," Rossig was quoted as saying by The New York Times. "It's supposed to be the most secure building in the world. God forbid it was somebody else getting in there with a real intention to harm New Yorkers."
All four have been charged by New York police with burglary, reckless endangerment and jumping from a structure, the New York Daily News reports.
Lawyers for the four have been negotiating with prosecutors, according to reports.
"No one was harmed except for the Port Authority whose lack of security was exposed," said Timothy Parlatore, Rossig's attorney. "The proper resolution is not to punish these young men, but to close security to prevent it from happening again."
