Clifford Curry on Making Beach Music Hits
Clifford Curry is an enduring "beach music" artist along the Southern U.S. coast. He started as a hard core R&B artist but found hits with his beach music songs, staring with his classic "She Shot A Hole in My Soul." Today, he "shags" to his songs in the recording studio before releasing it to be sure it has the beat shaggers want.
Curry participated in my multimedia e-Book project, "Charlie's Place," the true story of how R&B survived a Ku Klux Klan attacked in South Carolina in 1950.
Charlie's Place ($9.99) (ISBN-9781625390417) is available at Apple's iTunes, Amazon's Kindle book store and Barnes & Noble's Nook store. It can also be bought directly from the store at Vook.com and read online there on Macintosh and PC platforms.
