Homebrew 6809 Computer: First Test
I'm designing an 8-bit computer based around the Motorola 6809E. This is the very first test, and is kind of a boring video. However, it proves that it works!
The 6809 is on a breadboard with an 8K static RAM chip and no ROM. A test program is written into memory using a bank of switches. The processor executes it and goes into an infinite loop; it is then halted and the contents of memory are inspected to check the result of the program.
I'll be adding ROM and peripherals (and more videos) soon!
