About To Do Your First Laundry? WATCH this first
Are you about to do your first laundry and have no clue how to do it? Then this video is perfect for you! We’ve made this video for all of you, who have just moved to university and you do not have a clue how does a laundry machine work. Remember, there are 4 easy steps:
1. Separate - make sure that you don’t wash white clothes and black clothes together. If you want to be really pro about it, divide also the colors from the blacks.
2. Choosing a program - if you’re doing just a regular laundry, you don’t need anything more than 30°C or 40°C and 45 minutes. Simply chose the short programme that your machine allows. Watch out for delicates (sweater, hat, bra etc) as these should not be washed on high rotations - keep it under 800.
3. Add a detergent & fabric softener - powder detergents are great for dirty spots. They attack the fabric directly when you apply it. Same with the liquid detergent. I am personally using EcoEgg. It’s sustainable, eco friendly and most importantly affordable - check out their site.
4. Dry your clothes - DO NOT put your clothes in the drying machine, that one is meant mainly for towels and bed sheets. Putting your normal clothes to the dryer will damage them. Simply hand them on a rack.
Now you’re ready to do your first laundry. Remember to check the laundry tag on your clothes, if you are ever in doubt about how to wash a specific kind of clothing.
