Let’s get started with the exercises in this workout for your core and love handles.
Exercise #1: TORSO TWIST. Start with a midway anchor for this exercise. Step away from the anchor with a wide base. Try to keep your hips facing forward, and turn your shoulders and torso as far as you can to the side. Utilize a slow and controlled movement, maintaining resistance in the bands for the whole exercise. Don’t twist your feet, keep them planted in the ground. Make sure to do this on both sides.
Exercise #2: REVERSE WOODCHOPS. I want you to have a low anchor for this exercise. I want you to bring the band from low to high across your body by twisting your torso and shoulders. Do your best to bring the handle above your head, as you bring it across your body. Your eyes should be following the handles as it moves.
Exercise #3: STANDING TEAPOT. We are going to do one side at a time when doing this exercise. Wrap the bands around your foot for making it secure, and adding more resistance by having more tension on the bands. Contract your core when turning from side to side, and really squeeze your obliques at the top of the movement.
Exercise #4: SEESAWS. Use a mid-anchor, and move side pulling the handles straight out to your side. Make sure to have slow and controlled movements, to best hit your obliques. Keep and wide stance, and use as much resistance as you can with good form.
