Sex Trafficker Sentenced to 32 Years Behind Bars
Joseph Hazley, the man found guilty of sex trafficking 16-year-old Desiree Robinson by a federal jury in March of 2019, was sentenced to 32 years behind bars. Robinson was found murdered in a Markham, Ill., garage on Christmas Eve in 2016. Her murder drew national attention when it was discovered she was featured in sex solicitation posts on the notorious website Backpage.com. Romanucci & Blandin Managing Partner, Gina Arquilla DeBoni spoke to reporters after the sentencing, stating that this sentence should send a strong message to all who seek to profit from the sex trafficking of minors.
