West Chicago Family Sues ComEd and Demands Accountability Following Tragedy in 2016
Members of the Zulauf family speak with WGN Chicago demanding answers about how Commonwealth Edison’s (ComEd) corrupt practices may have contributed to the death of 32-year-old Robert Zulauf and the severe injury to his nephew 23-year-old Jordan Zulauf. The two were working on a ComEd pole in Sterling, Illinois on November 8, 2016 when they were electrocuted. As a result, Robert Zulauf was burned so badly he lost his life and Jordan lost both of his arms. Romanucci & Blandin founding partner Stephan Blandin shares how the line the men were working on was not properly insulated and had remained that way for nearly 50 years. Furthermore, the Illinois Commerce Commission which has a mandate to oversee ComEd, never cited them for a violation following the deadly incident.
