Chicago Lawyers Discuss EPA Commentary on Cancer Threat from Sterigenics Plant

Attorneys Antonio Romanucci of Romanucci & Blandin, LLC and Jeff Kroll of Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. joined Good Day Chicago to discuss their pending lawsuits against Sterigenics and how they claim the company was aware it was spreading toxic emissions. Just a day prior, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) held a packed forum with residents of Willowbrook and the surrounding area, acknowledging problems with its air testing, but saying other data points to an elevated health risk. Romanucci fired back at the EPA saying "Ethylene oxide causes cancer. They know this. They knew this, but they hid it. They hid it from the Willowbrook community and they hid their discharge emissions from the government too."
