Maybe, Perhaps, Probably, Certainly IN RUSSIAN | DAILY RUSSIAN WORDS
Hello!
My name is Daria. If you learn Russian this information will be useful for you. You will listen to native speaker pronunciation (it’s me:) ), memorize new words in Russian and will get many examples where these words are used.
Maybe
Может быть, наверное
maybe yes, maybe no — может быть да, может быть нет
- Do you think he'll come back? - Maybe.
— Думаешь, он вернётся? — Может быть.
Perhaps
Возможно
Perhaps it will snow tomorrow.
Возможно, завтра будет снег.
Maybe", "perhaps" can all be used interchangeably with the same meaning. Both mean that there is a chance (something is possible / could happen / might happen).
Probably
Вероятно
It will probably rain today.
Вероятно, сегодня будет дождь.
"Probably" is a little different as it gives a higher chance of happening.
Certainly, of course, sure
Конечно
May I visit him? Yes, certainly.
Можно его навестить? Да, конечно.
Of course I love you.
Конечно, я люблю тебя.
Of course he'll come!
Конечно, он придет!
Will you come? — Sure!
Ты придешь? – Конечно!
