Mercedes-Benz Actros - Removal / Installation of the front bumper | W930, W932, W933, W934

The bumper on the Actros has to be removed for painting.
On models with autonomous intelligent cruise control, first remove the cover.
Remove the two screws.
Remove the cable ties.
Disconnect the connector on the radar sensor.
Open the front-end flap in order to tilt the cab forwards.
Have an assembly wedge, ratchet and cordless screwdriver at hand.
Remove the upper screws of the door sill trim.
The trim between the door and bumper is loose and can be removed upwards.
The top two mounting bolts of the bumper are now accessible.
Remove these bolts.
Pry out the cover using an assembly wedge.
Remove the additional bumper screw underneath it.
Perform all of the same steps on the driver side.
Tilt the cab back to the driving position.
The headlamps of the new Actros are decorated with chrome-plated trim.
Remove the screw and detach the trim.
Remove the two retaining screws of the headlamp.
Swivel the headlamp to the side.
Disconnect the compact plug of the headlamp.
Cut through the cable ties.
Detach the connector for the turn signal and position lamp.
Disconnect the headlamp connector.
Remove the last cable tie.
Perform the same steps on the second headlamp.
There are another six screws holding the bumper in place.
Remove the first two screws behind the front apron.
Fold up the cover of the front towing fixture.
Pull out the coupling pin.
Remove the next three bolts.
When loosening the last bolt:
Obtain help from an assistant to hold the bumper in position.
The bumper is loose and can be detached.
After completing the repair and reinstalling the bumper:
Always check the driving lights and adjust them.
Check the autonomous intelligent cruise control with the engine running.
The repair is complete.
