Mercedes-Benz Actros - How to remove / install the door module | W930, W932, W933, W934

Before removing the door module on a new Actros, remove the roller sun blind.
This is installed on the driver side of the new Actros as standard.
No special tools are needed for the removal.
A tape measure is required for lowering the window to a certain position.
The window must protrude 20 - 30 cm out of the door.
Switch off the ignition and remove the key.
The Torx mounting screw for the door handle on the door fold is equipped with a safety plug.
Pry out the plug with a screwdriver.
Remove the mounting screw for the door handle.
Press the door handle towards the inside of the door by hand.
The door handle is loose when it clicks.
Pull out the handle far enough so that the linkage for the door lock is accessible.
Unclip the linkage with a screwdriver.
Remove the door handle.
Remove the screw in the installation opening of the door handle.
Remove the three mounting screws for the lock.
Open the left-hand trim in the driver footwell.
The electrical connections for the door electronics are behind this.
Remove the three screws.
Unplug the cable strand which leads through the rubber hose into the door.
It has a green connector.
Detach the rubber hose and guide the cable strand with connector through the opening from the outside.
Continue with the roller sun blind.
This is attached by four screws.
Start at the bottom on the right-hand rail.
Remove all protective caps from the screws.
Remove all four screws.
Also remove the rail.
The roller blind can be removed after the upper bolts are removed.
Remove the door trim from the window frame.
Remove two screws to do so.
Carefully remove the trim on the window frame.
Remove the entrance illumination in the door.
Using an assembly wedge, remove the velour panel in the center of the door trim.
Remove the three highlighted screws of the door module on the right-hand side.
Remove the screw in the installation opening of the entrance illumination.
Remove the two highlighted screws of the door module on the left-hand side.
Ask an assistant for help with holding the door module.
Pull the cable with the green connector on the right-hand side through the frame.
Disconnect the last connector of the module.
Carefully pull out the door module from the door frame fold and remove.
Install in the reverse order.
Notes for installation:
When installing the door module, insert the window into the window rail on the left-hand side.
Pay attention to the position of the cables in the door module.
The cables must not get caught in the mechanical components of the power window.
After installing the door handle, press the safety plug which was removed at the start back into the screw.
Use a Torx screwdriver for this.
Normalize the power window.
Raise and lower the window several times for this purpose.
Once the roller sun blind has been installed successfully, the repair is complete.
