Hey friends! Today I have a really fun story time type video as I'm talking about the things I WISH I knew before moving to France! As you know, I'm an American that has lived in Paris for the last 6 years (to hear my story about HOW I moved to Paris at 19 watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68tCvY8geVA). I'm always getting asked my tips on moving abroad, how to make French friends, learning French, studying in paris or how to find an appartement in Paris (to name a few extremely difficult things haha) so I thought I'd talk about my experience as an expat and the huge learning curve I've had adapting to the French way of doing things. Whether it's French culture shocks, crazy French administration woes while trying to get my visa, French etiquette or the "bise" there is a lot to talk about in this episode of the Paris diaries. I hope these things I've experienced can help you (or at least make you laugh ;). Like I said, I think it's great to learn things on your own, but if I could have understood some of these things a bit sooner, my life in France would have been a LOT easier. I don't regret my move to Paris at all (it's one of the BEST things I've ever done) so if you're thinking about making the move, go for it!!! ALSO have you guys seen the new Netflix tv show Emily in Paris?! Yeah, this is not it....;)
