As most of you know, I moved to France at the age of 19 by myself and have since made vlogs recording my daily life as an Artist and expat living abroad (in paris, more specifically). However, I have yet to make a video about all the funny and strange french culture shocks I faced when I first arrived! For this episode of art and chat, I was inspired to relive all of those moments with you who might be considering moving to France. As you can imagine there are a ton of cultural differences between france and the USA so I have divided the video in to three parts: One is my first impressions when I first moved to Paris, the second is after 6 months of working and getting used to the culture, and third is things I have realized after a few years of being here. Some are small, funny things (grocery shopping, driving in france) and some are deeply rooted in to their way of doing things (for example how the French eat/meals, business/work culture, friendships, fashion and more). You will find that I compare the USA to France a lot, but this is because the US is really my only point of reference as I have only studied and worked in these two countries.
