This week 3 years ago the world lost a very talented musician when Tim Bergling, better known as Avicii passed away. On this occasion I bring to you my favorite 25 songs & remixes of this very talented and inspirational DJ.

He was born as Tim Bergling in Stockholm, Sweden. At the age of eight he started mixing in his own bedroom. Inspired by his older brother who was also a DJ Tim started making music at the age of 16. He choose the name Avicii because his original name was already taken when he created his MySpace page. The name Avicii means 'the lowest level of Buddhist hell'. In 2010 he released his single 'Seek Bromance' which reached the charts across Europe and peaked inside the Top 20 in countrys like Sweden, France, UK, Belgium and the Netherlands. In 2011 he released his single 'Levels' which launched him into the mainstream. Levels topped the charts in Sweden, Norway and Hungary and scored Top 10 all across Europe.

In 2012 Bergling made history as he was the first DJ to headline the famous Radio Music City Hall in New York City. At the 2013 Grammy Awards he was nominated for 'Best Dance Recording' with 'Levels' but did not win. Later that year he released his first studio album named 'True' which topped the album charts in Sweden and Australia, and reached Top 5 across the world. It has been certified double platinum in Sweden and platinum in the UK, USA, Germany and France among other places. The single 'Wake Me Up' became a huge worldwide hit topping the charts in Sweden, UK, Germany, France, Australia and many other countries and peaking at #4 in the USA. Later that year he was anounced as the #3 DJ for DJ Mag. He then won the award for 'favorite Electronic Dance Music Award' at the American Music Awards.

At the end of 2014 Avicii released an EP named 'The Days / Nights EP' which included a collab with British singer Robbie Williams. In 2015 Avicii released his 2nd studio album named 'Stories' which topped the Swedish album charts and reached Top 10 in countries like the UK and Germany. In 2016 amid health concerns Avicii anounced that he would be retiring from touring. In 2017 Avicii released an EP named 'Avīci (01)' which topped the Swedish charts. On April 20th, 2018 Avicii passed away during a trip to Oman. In 2019 his final studio album 'Tim' was released posthumous and topped the Swedish album charts and reached Top 10 across Europe and #11 in the USA.
