LIONEL TERTIS plays KORNGOLD! (unpublished test)
The great viola player Lionel Tertis performs his own transposition of the famous 'Hornpipe', from the incidental music to Shakespeare's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING by Erich Wolfgang Korngold recorded circa 1925. This is an unpubllished test pressing, so many apologies for the intrusive surface noise, but this is a rare survior. The pianist is not identified alas. This must be the fastest performance of this jolly piece on records! Enjoy!
