I’ve heard from so many of y’all Social Security recipients, Supplemental Security Income recipients, Railroad Retirement Board beneficiaries and Veterans Administration beneficiaries, in the comments about your eligibility for a stimulus check in the new disaster relief bill.

Fortunately, it looks like help is on the way in the new, $900 billion stimulus package approved by Congress.

Senator Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire explained: "I am particularly glad that the final text of the relief package includes my bipartisan bill to ensure that recipients of Social Security, Supplemental Security Income and certain VA benefits will receive these payments automatically."

She continued: “millions of Social Security, SSI, VA and Railroad Retirement benefits wouldn't risk missing out on receiving the payments.”

This is great news for so many of y’all out there, and I can’t wait to hear about every single one of you receiving your well earned stimulus checks.

Meanwhile, Congress is scrambling to deal with the aftermath of passing their own $1.4 trillion government funding package, as well as our $900 stimulus bill, but not getting any results without President Trump’s signature

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer stated: “This is Christmas. Surely, the president of the United States ought to empathize with the pain and suffering and apprehension and deep angst that the American people are feeling.”

Hoyer continued: “Perhaps the only mistake was believing the president and Secretary Mnuchin when we were told that the bill — when it’s passed — would be signed by the president.”

Republican Senator Roy Blunt also wants Trump to sign the bill, explaining: “The best way out of this is for the president to sign the bill and I still hope that’s what he decides to do.”

I’m begging you President Trump: Please make everyone in America happier on Christmas and sign this bill as soon as you finish eating your holiday dinner.

Finally, President Elect Joe Biden has made it clear that this recently approved $900 billion stimulus package is not the end of the disaster relief efforts.

Biden stated earlier this week: "This bill is just the first step, a down payment, in addressing the crisis -- crises, more than one -- that we're in."

When asked of this new disaster relief package containing a third stimulus check, he replied to a reporter: "That's a negotiating issue... But it will, yes, it will."

This is great news that even if we are forced to wait until January, more stimulus and disaster relief funds are on the top of the priority list for President Biden.
