PAKSIW NA PATA

Paksiw na pata ( pork hock ) is a Filipino dish stewed in vinegar, soy sauce and a bit of sugar. It will take more than one hour to cook but it's totally worth the wait. Best serve over rice.
Ingredients:

- 1 1/2kg pork hock ( pata), sliced into serving portion
- 5 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
- 1 teaspoon whole peppercorn
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 5 tablespoon soy sauce
- 5 tablespoon vinegar
- 5 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 cup dried banana blossom
salt to taste
water
