PREVELI 🇬🇷 Europe's Only Tropical Lagoon | Drone 4K | Πρέβελη Crete Κρήτη

The Preveli Lagoon is a unique tropical lagoon on the island of Crete in Greece. It is covered with the endemic Cretan Palms also known by its scientific name Phoenix Theoprasti. Preveli is located in the south of Crete (under Rethymnon) close to Plakias. There is also a monastery close to the lagoon, the Preveli monastery which played an important role during the Turkish occupation and the Second World War.
