I've been cycling for about 30 years, I enjoy the time I spend doing it. I'm quite fit, it’s kept me fit, which is a plus.

On Monday the 31st of January, a vehicle came out of the road on my left and obviously didn’t see me. I fractured my femur and my pelvis and I fractured three ribs and two vertebrae. I had a bleed on brain, which was they believe it was whiplash.

I hit the windscreen with my shoulder and because it was dislocated when I hit it snapped the head off the boning for my cuff. So basically they couldn’t reconstruct it. I had a few bad issues with, I wouldn’t say I was depressed but I was hovering around the why am I not seeing an improvement in my recovery.

When I realised that this is a bad injury and I need a solicitor to kind of take it forward, then we looked at different solicitors and we chose Stephensons because of that individual personal touch really.

Money wasn't really an issue for me. It was recovery. Stephensons use a company called Medicess, but when Medicess took over my care, it was kind of more about me. And so I got the rehabilitation I needed, which again helped me to progress.

I'm made up with the medical assistance, which, Medicess and Stephensons provided for me. I mean, the compensation is really good because of the future. If I have to retire early, then obviously I have got a kind of a nice nest egg, which I wouldn't have had.

Stephensons were really easy to work with. Kind of broke it down into my language, if you like. You always think of the worst case scenario. Stephensons made that not happen. That was never the case, really, because they kind of made it so understandable for me. 100% I’d recommend them, 100%.
