Kota Batu of Batu City is one of the biggest National Apple Production Centers in Indonesia. That’s why when you go to Batu you will encounter a lot of Apple Picking Tours.
The addresses above will take you to Wisata Petik Apel KTMA Marketing Office to answer all your queries and arrange payments. Then a guide riding a motor will lead you to one of their apple farms just a few kilometers away. We came around November which is a good time for harvesting the apples. You can take as much time you want inside the farm and eat all the apples that you can too. We visited around past 9 am and we suggest that you do the same or earlier to avoid strong sunlight.

Coban Talun Waterfall is near the apple farm so we decided to visit and see mother nature’s charm.
It is really a beautiful falls and one of nature’s best view points to enjoy and relax. It’s quite a big place surrounded by forest and mountain with lots of flowers and trees. There are trekking activities, caving and wedding receptions here but we only came for the falls and it’s a must try. You can enjoy local food and coffee while enjoying the view and sound and water drops from the falls. Although we had a long, sandy and traily walk down to the falls, it’s beauty and charm erases all the fatigue and just something for me is magical there.

Pecel is a very famous traditional Javanese Cuisine. Here, we’ve tried Pecel Sayur which is Javanese Salad with peanut sauce and other toppings. It has vegetables, fermented soy bean, crackers and the (pecel) or the peanut sauce. It’s a very healthy and delicious dish that you should try when coming in Indonesia specially in Java. There are many kinds of Pecel to try and they all taste good in my opinion.
We also opted to by Martabak, a deep fried stuffed pancake that’s a favorite snack of the locals specially at night. It can be a sweet , savory or spicy martabak. The flavor options are unimaginable. Just watch out for the oil (*-^).
