Pak Manto Restaurant is our last stop at the City of Solo (Surakarta) before we head to Mountain Dieng. This place serves good goat meat and must try when you visit Solo. The place is quite big and you can see them grilling or prepping some of the food that you will order.

Going to Dieng Plateau will take you 4 to 5 hours by land travel so after 2 hours of long drive, we have a coffee break at Kopi Eva Resto. They serve local and traditional drinks and they also have their own coffee plantation. You can look around their big backyard just behind the store and snap some photos.

We arrived at Mountain Dieng after 5.5 hours of driving (with break). First we checked in at Larasati Hotel Dieng. Most of the hotels in this area are just like 1-2 stars so don’t get your expectations high. You will be greeted with simple rooms and cool weather you won’t need to turn on your aircon. Afterwards, we have our pre-dinner at Selera Raja Restaurant which is only walking distance from our hotel. They serve mie ongklok which I really like, hot and perfect for the cold weather with mountain views. This place is highly recommended guys.
