WIND TURBINE BEGINS TO MAKE POWER.

This is a high torque and geared machine. We are using a 900 RPM 8 pole motor with an additional gear ratio of 15 to 1. Currently wired for 480 volt three phase but any electrical voltage could have been used. The full design load is hit at 50 rpm. The unit is variable speed and will begin to make power a 12 rpm and can continue to generate in over speed mode above 3600 rpm motor speed. 400% above the design load for short periods of time. More to come but we need to wait for some high winds. Other videos will cover the variable speed controls and electrical connections.
