My favorite hike in Sierra Nevada: following Acequia Baja

One of the reasons I love hiking in Andalucía is a childlike sense of wonder and exploration. The joy of discovery; a need to see where every path leads, what's around the next corner. "I wonder if I can get there?". And I can.

I improvised the path, guided only by my curiosity. That's partly why this was one of the best hikes of my life. It may not look like much, but it was awesome.

I followed Acequia Baja below Mulhacén in La Alpujarra in Sierra Nevada, and continued along the other side of the ravine, ending up at "cámara de carga" which is part of the hydroelectric power plant. Then I walked through the ghost town La Cebadilla, and back home to Capileira.

Shot, edited, and uploaded with the Huawei P20 Pro. I *do not* recommend making videos of this magnitude on a damn smartphone.
