The Benefits of Mindfulness with Willem Kuyken
If you've ever felt stressed, had difficulty sleeping or trouble fully relaxing, then mindfulness could be for you. Prof Willem Kuyken is Director of the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, a research organisation at the University of Oxford which studies the benefits of this fairly new technique, which has its roots in the ancient meditative practices of East Asia. He talks with Prof Denis Noble, University of Oxford, who asks some probing questions about whether mindfulness has scientifically proven benefits, and how Willem and his team wish to extend the practice of mindfulness across societies in different parts of the world.
