Survivors of Super Typhoon Rai in the Philippines are on the streets begging for money and food, a week after the superstorm tore through the region on December 16, 2021. At least 375 people were killed in the typhoon as hundreds of thousands remain homeless. The military, coastguard, and humanitarian organisations have ramped up efforts to get supplies to the hardest-hit islands, but much of the aid will not arrive in time for Christmas.
