Tarantula
If you’re not a fan of insects, then this probably isn’t the choice for you. But let me just tell you that people all over the world like to keep Tarantulas as their pets. And if you’re wondering why anyone on Earth would want a spider as a pet, the truth is that Tarantulas are actually pretty low-maintenance. All you have to do is to feed them on time and they pretty much stay out of your hair for the rest of the day.
And if you’re someone who lives alone, Tarantulas make for great pets because they don’t really like being around a lot of people. Tarantulas also recognize their owners and when they’re in the mood, they even enjoy a little petting here and there. Sure, these little critters can look dangerous but in reality, they’re as harmless and quiet as pets can get, making them a great investment for someone who wants a timid pet that’s easy to take care of.
Skunks
This one might come off as a surprise, but Skunks are actually legal to own as pets in 17 states in the USA. And while it’s true that they’re not as easy to handle as let’s say a dog or a cat, animal enthusiasts have actually been successful in domesticating Skunks with the right kind of attention and care. As far as Skunks go themselves when bred and raised in captivity, they are extremely friendly animals with high intelligence levels. Skunks are super friendly to be around and love to play around with their owners all day long.
However, their curiosity often gets the best of them and you’ll often find these furry creatures hiding away in cabinets, climbing on kitchen-tops, and hoarding things like towels and soft clothes to make their bed. And now, the question you’ve been dying to ask: What about the smell? Well, with domesticated skunks, you can easily get their scent glands removed and enjoy quality time with your pet.
