Magpie lead mine - Mavic pro

I must have driven past this disused lead mine, near Sheldon, Derbyshire countless times, but was inspired to visit with my Mavic pro by Matthew Way's footage. Cheers, Matt.

The main building and chimney will be very familiar to those of us who have lived in Cornwall. Similar buildings are dotted around the coastline there. It housed a Cornish beam engine until the price of coal forced a rethink and a drainage tunnel was dug as an alternative to pumping the water out of the mine.
The thick wall to the front bore the weight of the massive iron beam which pivoted there, driven by a steam piston.
